Former manager of music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that a resurfaced video showing the singer being arrested in London after an altercation with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru, is genuine.

The video, which recently went viral, captured the incident that reportedly occurred on October 2, 2025, during the couple’s trip to the United Kingdom for a concert tour. 2Baba had missed a scheduled performance, prompting speculation that he was detained following a quarrel with Natasha, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze on Monday night, Igbokwe—who travelled with the couple—confirmed the incident. He explained that Natasha became upset after feeling abandoned when 2Baba walked away with fans who escorted him into a shop shortly after they arrived at the airport. Realising she was left behind, the singer returned to her, leading to a heated exchange that resulted in police intervention and his arrest.

The video was originally dismissed by 2Baba in October, when he released a statement claiming he missed the show due to a medical emergency. Despite his denial, rumours persisted online.

The controversy resurfaced on December 1 after blogger Tosin Silverdam posted what he described as new evidence showing police officers speaking with 2Baba and escorting him out of a store at London’s Gatwick Airport. Silverdam also shared another clip of the couple arguing, alleging jealousy on Natasha’s part.

The renewed circulation of the footage has triggered widespread online debate, with many Nigerians revisiting the incident despite previous clarifications from the musician.
