Victor Osimhen continues to prove why he is one of Africa’s finest football exports. The Nigerian striker delivered a masterclass performance on Wednesday as Galatasaray cruised past Ajax 3–0 in the UEFA Champions League, with Osimhen scoring all three goals in breathtaking fashion.

In 2025, Osimhen has been nothing short of electric commanding the Turkish Super Lig and stamping his authority on Europe’s biggest stage. But that night was special. Every touch, every run, every finish carried intent and brilliance.

The 26-year-old striker needed less than 20 minutes to complete his first hat trick in the competition. He headed in the opener in the 59th minute off a cross from Leroy Sané. In the 66th and 78th, his perfectly executed spot kicks gave no chance to Ajax goalkeeper Remko Pasvee.

Watching him dominate with such power and precision, I couldn’t help but think of Zoro the masked hero who fights with flair, fearlessness, and finesse. It’s why I now call him “The Zoro of Africa.” Like Zoro, Osimhen wears his mask not just for protection, but as a symbol of defiance and identity, representing strength, courage, and the spirit of a continent that never backs down.

With this hat-trick, Osimhen now leads Champions League scoring chart ahead of Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane and Eling Halaand. and his performances are inspiring belief that the Turkish giants can go deep into the tournament.

While Osimhen now lights up Istanbul and Europe’s premier stage, several heavyweight clubs like PSG, Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus, and even Manchester United who had the chance to secure his signature in the summer, but declined would be watching in utter regret now, as Osimhen dominates for Galatasaray, a player they could have gambled on but didn’t.

The Zoro of Africa is not only forging his legend; he’s also underlining the cost of hesitation.

The message is clear for the clubs that rejected him: when a talent of this level knocks, firms should answer or risk being haunted by “what if?”Victor Osimhen isn’t just playing football he’s writing his legend. And the Zoro of Africa is just getting started.
