Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani was involved in a car crash while traveling to Stansted Airport ahead of the team’s Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
The French striker’s Ferrari reportedly suffered a tyre blowout. Kolo Muani was uninjured, and team-mate Wilson Odobert stopped to check on him. Both players later joined the team and are expected to feature in the match.
Spurs head coach Thomas Frank confirmed the players were safe, saying: “They are fine. Everyone else involved in that accident was fine. It was a tyre blowing up… They will fly out later, and I fully expect both to be available.”
The incident comes amid a difficult spell for Spurs, who are also missing Pedro Porro due to a hamstring injury and Micky van de Ven, who is unavailable for the trip. Despite these setbacks, Tottenham can still secure a spot in the Champions League last-16 with a victory over Frankfurt.
