Former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to former Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, at his residence in Lagos ahead of Fayose’s 65th birthday celebration.

Osinbajo, during the visit, described Fayose as “a resilient and steadfast Nigerian who doggedly pursues whatever he believes in.” He congratulated the former governor on his forthcoming birthday, which will be marked on November 15, 2025.

The former Vice President explained that he decided to visit Fayose ahead of the celebration since he would not be available on the day of the event.

Both leaders exchanged warm pleasantries and discussed national issues during the visit. Osinbajo commended Fayose’s courage and consistency in public life, noting that such qualities are essential for national development.

In his response, Fayose expressed gratitude to Osinbajo for the visit, describing it as a show of respect and friendship that transcends political differences.

The visit, according to observers, underscores growing calls for unity and mutual respect among Nigeria’s political leaders across party lines.
