Defence Minister Receives Newly Appointed Service Chiefs in Abuja

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, on Tuesday received the newly appointed Service Chiefs during their maiden courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Defence, Ship House, Abuja.

According to a statement signed by his media aide, Mati Ali, the Service Chiefs present were the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General O. O. Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major General W. Shaibu; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral I. Abbas; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal S. K. Aneke.

Ali noted that the visit demonstrated the Minister’s commitment to fostering a cohesive defence leadership built on trust, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose.

“The meeting also marks the beginning of a renewed drive towards a unified strategy and decisive action in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and national interests under the guidance of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the statement added.
