The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has postponed the opening of its online portal for shortlisted candidates scheduled to undergo physical screening and document verification for the 2025 recruitment exercise.
The portal, earlier expected to be accessible from Monday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 3, will now open at a yet-to-be-announced date. The board confirmed the change in a statement issued Monday night by its Secretary, Maj.-Gen. A.M. Jibril (Rtd), and posted on X.
According to the statement, the portal “will now be open as soon as possible,” while a new date will be communicated in due course.
Shortlisted applicants have been advised to regularly check the official website — recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — for updates. The board apologised for the inconvenience caused and appreciated candidates for their patience.
The CDCFIB had completed its computer-based tests last month and had earlier scheduled the next stage — including physical assessment and document verification to begin on December 1. The verification phase is critical, as candidates’ identities, fitness levels, and documents will be reviewed before the final selection.
The ongoing recruitment exercise covers four agencies: the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
