Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta State and the Peoples Democratic Party’s vice presidential candidate, has stated that the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, sought permission from the debate organisers to be absent from the session.
Speaking on behalf of Atiku, after the presidential debate began 45 minutes late, at the Arise TV Town Hall meeting on Sunday night, Okowa claimed the presidential candidate will be present at the debate, despite the fact that the event tonight is a meeting, not a debate.
According to Nwafo Live, several Nigerians who attended the gathering asked that only presidential candidates speak, claiming that Okowa will be disallowed participation.
