A video circulating on social media has shown Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, being escorted in handcuffs by police officers in London.
The footage, posted on TikTok by blogger Tosin Silverdam, captures the singer standing outside what appears to be a retail store while officers speak with him before leading him away with his hands cuffed behind him.
The incident comes shortly after another viral clip showed a woman, believed to be his wife, Osawaru Natasha, confronting him inside a London shop and accusing him of shouting at her.
However, the circumstances surrounding the latest video remain unclear, and UK authorities have not released any official statement confirming an arrest.
This development follows an incident in October in which 2Baba was rumoured to have been arrested in London over an alleged altercation with Natasha—a claim he publicly denied. At the time, he explained that his absence from a scheduled UK tour stop on October 2 was due to a medical emergency.
In a message to fans, the singer thanked those who attended the show despite his absence and promised to reschedule the performance. He also criticised the spread of unverified claims, urging the public to avoid sharing unconfirmed information.
“If you don’t know something, please don’t say it,” he said, expressing frustration over repeated rumours.
