Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage, 45, has revealed that she is open to becoming a second wife in a polygamous marriage.
Speaking on a podcast on October 14, 2025, the award-winning singer explained that her view stems from the difficulty of finding available and mature men, particularly those in their 50s, who are often already married.
Savage, who divorced music executive Tunji “Teebillz” Balogun in 2018, said she would consider such a relationship as long as it is built on mutual respect including respect for the first wife.
Her remarks have since generated widespread debate on social media, reigniting discussions on polygamy, modern relationships, and shifting gender roles in Nigeria and among the diaspora.
