A group of unknown gunmen attacked innocent worshipers at a Juma’at Mosque in Ruwan Jema town in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing scores of them, and leaving many injured.
According to eyewitness, the armed men hid their guns inside their clothes and storm the mosque during Juma’at prayer.
“During Friday prayers, the bandits stormed Ruwan Jema town and opened fire on worshippers in the mosque, the number of people killed can’t be ascertain but about 15 dead bodies have been recovered.”
In recent times, the North-Western states, has been rattled with countless activities of bandits, ranging from community invasion, to killings and abductions.
On September 02, an unknown number of worshippers were abducted from a mosque in Zugu community, and their whereabouts is unconfirmed till date.
