Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shared a series of emotional videos on social media, expressing distress over the continued detention of her brother, Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West.

In an Instagram Story posted early Friday, the 25-year-old actress appeared tearful and visibly exhausted, describing her emotional state as “going crazy” over her brother’s situation. “I’ve tried. I’m trying. I feel like I’m going crazy. I’m losing my mind and it’s not making any sense. I’m finally crying in front of everybody. But please, what am I even begging for? I don’t know,” she said.

Regina also lamented the conflicting news about her brother’s release. “Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I see one thing. Oh, my brother online, today I hear good news, oh he’s about to be free. Tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’m trying. I’ll go. I’ll go back. I’ll go back,” she added.

The videos come amid Regina’s ongoing marital issues with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, whom she has previously accused of ordering the arrest of her siblings. Nwoko has yet to respond to her latest statements.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has clarified that Sammy West’s arrest followed a formal petition and was not politically motivated. SP Josephine Adeh, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that Sammy West was taken into custody after ignoring several police invitations for questioning over allegations including conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

“Upon receipt of the petition, the Metro Area Command extended several invitations to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu for questioning, which were not honoured. Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu was arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” Adeh said.

She further explained that the complaint, lodged on October 28, named Sammy West and three others. After investigations, he was charged on November 6, 2025, with criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft, and was remanded by the court pending fulfillment of bail conditions.

Earlier, another of Regina’s brothers, Sweezzy, disclosed via Instagram that Sammy West had appeared in court and was remanded at Suleja Prison in Niger State.

Meanwhile, Regina’s siblings have launched an online petition titled “Hold Ned Nwoko Accountable for Abuse of Power,” demanding justice and accountability, alleging intimidation and misuse of influence by the lawmaker.

In one video, Regina also addressed public mockery over her plight, stating: “It’s okay to laugh. It’s really okay to laugh… Nobody ever flaunts their sadness. You know why? Because of this very reason, mockery. As long as you’re not in my shoes, you will never understand. What were you expecting me to show off? That I was being beaten? That I was sad? No. And yes, actually, I think I’ll break this phone.”

The actress’s emotional appeal has drawn widespread attention online as the saga surrounding her family and her brother’s detention continues to unfold.
