The Ogun State Police Command has launched a search operation for a female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), SRC Funmilayo Lasisi, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who have been reported missing.

According to the command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, the case was reported at the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by another FRSC officer serving in Abeokuta, in the company of the victims’ family members.

Preliminary reports indicated that SRC Lasisi and her daughter left their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday morning, November 2, and have not been seen or heard from since.

Efforts by family members and colleagues to reach her through phone calls have so far been unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered a full-scale investigation to determine their whereabouts and ensure their safe return.

CSP Odutola urged members of the public with any useful information that could help locate the missing officer and her daughter to contact the nearest police station or call the command’s emergency numbers: 0800 000 9111, 0915 957 8888, or +234 803 860 9898.

She assured that all information provided would be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
