A tanker carrying fuel exploded on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Thursday, October 20, morning.
The explosion, which happened in Araromi Town before the Interchange, is causing traffic congestion.
It was discovered that some motorists near the scene had scampered to safety.
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Ogun Sector Command is working to bring the situation under control.
To avoid unnecessary delays, the FRSC advised motorists to take alternate routes.
The commission also urged motorists to remain calm and cooperate with traffic officials who were in charge of the situation.
