The Osun State Labour Movement leadership has assured the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, of workers’ support.
Comrade Adekola Adebowale, Chairman of the State Trade Union Congress, who spoke on behalf of other Labour leaders during a meeting with the governor, also praised Adeleke for interacting with employees, saying the gesture demonstrated the new administration’s great regard for government servants.
Workers in the state, he says, have no reason to mistrust Adeleke’s dedication to them because he comes from a family that honours commitments.
Responding, Adeleke reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of state workers.
Adeleke, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, in Osogbo on Wednesday, also indicated his administration’s willingness to listen to and address employees’ concern
He appealed for more time to allow the government to have a better knowledge of the issues, but stressed his administration’s willingness to look into the employees’ concerns with the previous administration.
