Nigeria’s headline inflation rate declined to 16.05 per cent in October 2025, dropping from 18.02 per cent recorded in September, according to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.
The October figure represents a 1.96 percentage point decrease and marks the seventh consecutive month of slowing inflation since April 2025.
On a year-on-year basis, inflation was 17.82 per cent lower compared to October 2024, when the rate stood at 33.88 per cent.
However, the month-on-month inflation rate rose slightly to 0.9 per cent in October 2025, higher than the 0.72 per cent recorded in September.
