Manchester United have reached a deal with Brentford to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo. The Red Devils submitted an improved offer of £65 million plus an additional £6 million in performance-related add-ons on Thursday. Their earlier bid of £55 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons was turned down several weeks ago.

Brentford have now accepted the revised proposal. Mbeumo, who has two years remaining on his current contract, is expected to undergo a medical at United in the coming days. There is growing confidence he will join the squad flying out to the United States for their pre-season tour on Tuesday.

United have long admired the Cameroon international, viewing him as a strong tactical fit for new manager Ruben Amorim’s system.

Brentford, for their part, feel Mbeumo has earned the opportunity to make a step up—provided his valuation was met, which United now have.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar Premier League campaign last season, scoring 20 goals—behind only three other players—and contributing seven assists. According to the data, he registered a league-high 9.26 expected assists, largely thanks to his impressive 202 crosses, the most in the division.

Beyond his output, Mbeumo’s work rate stands out. He ranked among the top three players for total distance covered and sprint attempts, underlining his relentless energy. He also clocked the fourth-highest top speed in the league at 36.63 km/h, offering a potent blend of pace and endurance.
