Manchester City have initiated discussions with Burnley regarding a potential return for goalkeeper James Trafford.
The Premier League champions are looking to renegotiate the £40 million buy-back clause included in the deal when Trafford was sold to Burnley in 2023.
Should Trafford depart Turf Moor, Burnley are expected to seek a replacement, with City’s Stefan Ortega among the goalkeepers under consideration.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United, long-time admirers of Trafford, have previously attempted to secure his signature in recent transfer windows.
