Olajide Adediran, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, and his running mate, Funke Akindele, have visited the homes of two owners of vehicles recently auctioned off by the Lagos state government.

On September 15, the government auctioned off vehicles forfeited to the state due to traffic violations.

At the event, traffic offenders sobbed as their vehicles were auctioned off.

In response to the news, the PDP candidate, popularly known as Jandor, paid visits to the homes of Lateef Kolapo and Osinachi Ndukwe, both drivers whose vehicles were auctioned off on Thursday.

According to Gbenga Ogunleye, a media aide to the PDP candidate, Ndukwe, who was sentenced to prison for three months after his car was confiscated, he drove against traffic.
Adediran chastised the Lagos government for imposing harsh penalties on traffic offenders.
He stated that, while traffic violations will not be tolerated if elected governor, he will ensure that laws allowing vehicle confiscation as punishment for traffic offenses are reviewed.
