Kanye West sat down with N.O.R.E. for a new “Drink Champs” interview, and during the 43-minute chat, he said a lot of things that enraged listeners.

The rapper claimed that George Floyd died as a result of the drug fentanyl, not the actions of the Minnesota police officer convicted of his murder.

“They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,” Kanye said.

Kanye made the remark after he mentioned that he recently went to the premiere of the documentary “Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM,” produced by conservative commentator Candace Owens.

Floyd died in May 2020 after officer Derek Chauvin knelt for about nine minutes on his neck. Chauvin was sentenced to 22 1/2 years in prison last year in Minnesota on murder and manslaughter charges, and 21 years in July after a federal trial.
