Duruocha Joel, an Independent National Electoral Commission employee who was reported missing in Anambra State, has been found dead.
Joel’s body was discovered on Thursday, September 29 on the Isu-Aniocha-Urum road in Awka North Local Government Area. His body was said to have been dumped by unknown individuals.
Festus Okoye, the commission’s National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, made the announcement on Friday, September 30.
Okwuonu Jude, the Commission’s Administrative Secretary in Anambra State, was quoted in the statement as having reported Joel’s disappearance on Wednesday, September 28.
Joel worked at INEC as a Principal Executive Officer II on Grade Level 10.
