Kelechi Iheanacho has reported back for pre-season training with Sevilla, despite ongoing uncertainty over his long-term future at the club.
The Nigerian forward joined the Rojiblancos on a free transfer last summer but struggled to make an impact in his debut season, failing to score in nine La Liga appearances.
However, he managed to find the net twice in the Copa del Rey before being loaned out to Middlesbrough in January. While at the Sky Bet Championship side, Iheanacho scored once and provided two assists in 15 league matches.
With Sevilla now under the guidance of new head coach Matias Almeyda, the 28-year-old may be handed a fresh opportunity to prove himself.
Iheanacho still has two years remaining on his current deal with the former UEFA Europa League champions.
