‎Morgan Gibbs-White has returned to Nottingham Forest for pre-season training, despite ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future following interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

‎The midfielder was always scheduled to report back today alongside Forest’s other international players, which explains his absence from the squad that faced Chesterfield in a pre-season friendly yesterday.

‎Gibbs-White remains under contract with Forest and is expected to continue preparing for the upcoming campaign unless a resolution is reached regarding Tottenham’s pursuit.

‎Forest are currently seeking legal advice and considering formal action after Spurs reportedly triggered the player’s £60 million release clause—an approach Forest believe may have been in breach of transfer regulations.

‎While it is unclear whether Forest can block the move outright, they are preparing to file a complaint with the Premier League, which is likely to delay any potential deal. Tottenham, however, remain optimistic about securing the 24-year-old’s signature.

‎Additionally, Forest suspect there has been a breach of confidentiality related to the details of the release clause. As a result, the club cut off all communication with Spurs last week.
