As of Thursday, the full list of countries that have secured qualification for the expanded 48-team 2026 FIFA World Cup has been released.
Host Nations
Canada, Mexico, and the United States automatically qualify as co-hosts of the global tournament.
Africa
Nine African countries have booked their spots: Algeria, Cape Verde, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia.
Asia
Eight teams from the Asian continent have qualified. They include Australia, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Uzbekistan.
Europe
So far, England and France are the two European teams confirmed for the tournament.
Oceania
New Zealand will represent the Oceania region.
South America
Six teams from South America have secured qualification: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
