The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, Mr. Shehu Kambile, has resigned from his position as Special Assistant (SA) to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
Kambile announced his resignation in a statement on Wednesday in Yola, saying the decision was strategic and aimed at allowing him to concentrate fully on strengthening the ADC as the state’s leading opposition party.
He explained that his appointment was facilitated through the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) framework, which was designed to promote national cohesion.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Governor Fintiri but have decided to step aside and focus on my primary mandate — building a robust and effective opposition,” Kambile said.
He emphasized the need for a strong opposition that could offer the people of Adamawa a credible alternative.
Kambile also commended former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for his continued support in promoting inclusive and democratic engagement within the ADC.
He urged members of the party to remain united and work collectively towards the party’s growth and success.
