Former Big Brother Naija star, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has achieved two Guinness World Records for completing the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.
Guinness World Records confirmed the feat in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, congratulating Tacha for setting the two new titles.
“Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours,” the statement read.
Tacha made the record-breaking attempt last month during the Tacha Beauty Festival, held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos. She worked with 150 models over three days.
According to Guinness World Records, the 29-year-old completed 82 makeovers in eight hours and 144 makeovers in 24 hours, securing both records.
Celebrating the achievement on Instagram, Tacha expressed gratitude to her team, fans, and late mother, describing the milestone as one achieved through grace, persistence, and teamwork.
“You smiled, talked, cried, and hyped me till the very last second. From the depth of my heart, thank you. We didn’t just work—we warred,” she wrote.
Reflecting on her journey, she said her passion for makeup began in childhood and was driven by a desire to “dare to be different.”
“This record was born from that same spirit of resilience and courage to stand out. I wanted to show that Nigerian women can achieve anything they set their minds to and that African creativity deserves global recognition,” Tacha said.
She also encouraged her supporters to remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams, saying, “If you don’t have haters, pray for haters because they’ll push you into purpose. My first name, Anita, means gracious and grace is loud in my life.”
