The Itori Unit Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun has advised motorists not to harass its officers while they are performing their duties on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Itori.

Mr Gbenga Okusi, the Unit Commander, issued the warning while interacting with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday, October 3 in Itori, Ogun.

Okusi emphasized the importance of cautioning motorists driving against traffic on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in the Ewekoro area since they were usually insistent, pestering its workers when warned against such behavior.

The unit commander stated that driving against traffic was the cause of some of the road incidents along this axis, particularly the incident that cost two lives and left four people injured on October 1.

He reaffirmed the command’s resolve to continue educating motorists about the dangers of driving against traffic through public enlightenment programs.

To avoid catastrophes during the ember months, the unit commander urged them to avoid unsafe driving and to obey traffic laws accordingly.
