Senator George Akume, Minister of Special Duties, has confirmed to the public that the genuine national honour awardees’ list would soon be released by the president.
Speaking to newsmen after a lengthy meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Akume confirmed the latest development.
It was initially thought that Akume had been summoned by President Buhari over the controversy surrounding an earlier published list, but when asked if he was at the Villa in connection with the list, he said “no”.
