The Independent Corrupt Practice and other Related Offences Commission has emphasized once more that every effort must be made to end corruption in the nation.
In order to accomplish this, the commission sought the assistance of Ondo State’s traditional chiefs, spiritual leaders, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders in the struggle against corruption and unethical conduct.
At a one-day sensitization dialogue on the national ethics and integrity policy with traditional leaders, religious leaders, and civil society organizations in Akure, the state capital, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, chairman of the anti-graft commission, gave the keynote address.
The commission chairman also urged the interested parties to strengthen their collaboration with the organization in order to fight corruption, advance morality, values, and behavior modification, and create a better Nigeria for all.
The Osemawe of Ondo kingdom, Oba Victor Kiladejo, spoke on behalf of Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers and Deji of the Akure kingdom, who had earlier thanked the ICPC for the initiative and urged the body to always work with traditional institutions to combat the rise of corruption in society.
