The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport in Katsina at about 1:59 p.m. on Monday.

The body, draped in the Nigerian flag, was flown in aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft and received by top government officials, family members, and military personnel. It was accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and relatives of the late leader.

On hand to receive the body were Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, members of the Katsina State Executive Council, and other dignitaries.
