Hollywood actor Bruce Willis has been moved into a specialised care facility as his health declines following a diagnosis of dementia.
The 70-year-old, widely known for his role in the Die Hard film series, was first diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 before doctors confirmed he had frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023. His condition has since worsened, leading to significant memory loss and speech difficulties.
Family members said the decision was made to ensure Willis receives professional care tailored to his needs while providing support for his wife, Emma Heming Willis, and their daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
Willis retired from acting in 2022 after a decades-long career that included acclaimed performances in Pulp Fiction, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense, and Unbreakable.
His family has continued to advocate for greater awareness and research into dementia, a condition affecting millions worldwide.
