Arsenal have officially signed winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea in a deal worth up to £52 million.
The agreement includes a fixed fee of £48.5 million, with an additional £3.5 million in performance-related add-ons. Madueke has penned a five-year contract with the Gunners.
The 22-year-old leaves Chelsea after two-and-a-half seasons, having joined from PSV Eindhoven for £29 million. His departure sees the Blues pocket a profit of £23 million and brings their total income from player sales this summer to £92 million.
Madueke will not feature in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia, as he has been granted extended leave following his participation in the Club World Cup with Chelsea.
