Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu, has unveiled a 35-man squad for the team’s final training camp ahead of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The seven-time African champions moved their preparations to Abuja on Monday to begin the intensive training phase.
The squad is largely composed of players who played key roles in Nigeria’s triumphant campaign at the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo last year. Among the notable names are Daniel Bameiyi, Ebenezer Harcourt, Adamu Maigari, Kenneth Igbokwe, and Sabiu Mohammed.
Other standout inclusions are Sulaiman Alabi ‘Jojo’, Nasiru Salihu, Oliseh Divine, Bidemi Amole, and Clinton Jephta.
Additionally, seven foreign-based players have been invited to strengthen the squad as preparations intensify.
Nigeria has been drawn into Group B for the U-20 AFCON, where they will face strong competition from Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa.
The tournament is set to kick off on April 27 in Cairo, Egypt.
