Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s largest carrier, on Monday convened a Travel Partner Forum at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, ahead of the launch of its Abuja–London flights on October 26 and 28, 2025.
The event brought together top-selling travel agents, executives of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), and representatives from global travel solutions providers Amadeus and Sabre. The forum underscored the airline’s strategy of strengthening partnerships as it expands its international network.
Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, delivered a presentation on the new route, stressing its strategic value for Nigeria’s travel market. A Q&A session followed, where stakeholders discussed collaboration to boost sales and visibility.
Chairman Allen Onyema praised agents for their support since the airline’s Lagos–London Gatwick service began in March 2024. He said that success gave Air Peace the confidence to expand into Heathrow, adding that the airline’s mission goes beyond connectivity to include job creation and youth empowerment through programmes like its Graduate Trainee initiative.
To mark the Abuja–London launch, Air Peace announced complimentary seats for select agents and discounted fares during the introductory period. NANTA President Yinka Folami hailed the airline’s vision, highlighting its ongoing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) project in Lagos as a transformative step for African aviation.
Representatives of Amadeus and Sabre also endorsed the initiative, noting that Air Peace’s integration into their global systems would strengthen its visibility across 160 countries and 55,000 agencies.
The Abuja–London flights, complementing the Lagos–Gatwick service, mark a major step in Air Peace’s expansion strategy, expected to deepen Nigeria–UK ties, boost tourism, and support job creation.
