The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Monday announced it has successfully completed all required documentation with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, told THISDAY that the party resolved outstanding submissions last week, including details of principal officers such as National Chairman, Senator David Mark, and National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola.
Former Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, also reaffirmed the party’s readiness for the 2027 general elections during an appearance on Arise TV’s Morning Show. He said the ADC, which has existed for over 19 years, remains a legally registered political party and is strengthening its structures through the coalition process.
Dalung stressed that the coalition must uphold internal democracy and the rule of law if it is to restore public confidence in Nigeria’s democracy. He dismissed claims by ADC’s 2023 presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, that the party had been hijacked by outsiders, describing the comments as unfounded and contrary to the party’s constitution.
“The ADC is prepared for 2027, and these challenges, whether internal wranglings or procedural requirements, are normal. From our activities across the country, it is clear that Nigerians can count on us to provide a credible alternative to the ruling party,” Dalung said.
