Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged governments at all levels to equip women, youth, and the underprivileged with digital skills to enable them thrive in today’s world.
In a message to mark the 2025 International Literacy Day on Monday, Mrs. Tinubu said this year’s theme, “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era,” highlights the need to bridge digital exclusion.
“As a lifelong educationist, I believe a literate population is the foundation of boundless opportunities, and in today’s world, it must include digital skills,” she said.
The First Lady stressed that collective effort is required to close the digital gap and ensure an inclusive future for all Nigerians.
“Happy International Literacy Day 2025,” she added.
