ADC Guber Candidate John Nwosu Confident in 2027 Coalition, Promises Tech-Driven Governance in Anambra The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate for Anambra State, Mr. John Nwosu, has expressed optimism that the emerging political coalition aimed at reclaiming Nigeria in 2027 is on track and gaining momentum. Speaking to journalists on Sunday in Awka during a thanksgiving service at St. Faith Anglican Cathedral—an event organized by his running mate, Dr. Ndubuisi Nwobu, to mark the start of the ADC’s gubernatorial campaign—Nwosu said he believes the coalition will play a critical role in salvaging Nigeria. Responding to questions on the coalition’s stability, he stated, “It won’t be right to say I’m banking solely on the coalition to win. I joined the ADC before the coalition talks even began. But I must say, the coalition is working—and it will work in Anambra too.” Nwosu emphasized that the coalition’s growing appeal is evident as more members from other political parties defect to join it under the ADC umbrella. “People are resigning from their former parties every day and embracing the coalition. Many are closing shop in their old platforms to align with the ADC. So what doubts remain?” he asked. He also highlighted that the ADC, founded 18 years ago, existed long before the coalition movement began and remains committed to national renewal. “This is about salvaging Nigeria. If a coalition is what it takes, we all need to get on board.” On the Anambra governorship race, Nwosu took a swipe at the current administration led by Governor Charles Soludo, accusing it of mismanagement, insecurity, and aggressive tax collection. “Anambra is not working—you can see it. From harsh tax drives to the use of ‘aka odo people’ (street tax collectors) harassing residents, the state clearly needs redemption,” he said. He pledged to introduce e-governance and deploy modern technology to address the state’s key challenges, especially insecurity. “I run an ICT firm—Jetlink—and I understand how technology can solve real-world problems. Tackling insecurity with tech is not rocket science. Within six months of my administration, insecurity will be over,” Nwosu promised. He said his administration would be guided by the SHEEMS model—his campaign manifesto—aimed at delivering inclusive, efficient, and transparent governance in Anambra State.
