President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to former Minister of Police Affairs, Major-General David Medayese Jemibewon (rtd), on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the retired general’s unwavering dedication to Nigeria, describing him as a patriot who served the nation with honour and distinction.

After retiring from active service, he pursued a law degree and later practised as a legal professional. He was appointed Minister of Police Affairs from 1999 to 2000, where he was credited with initiating significant reforms within the Nigeria Police Force.
President Tinubu joined family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating General Jemibewon, commending his courage, discipline, and contributions to national development.
The President prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the retired general, wishing him good health and many more years in service to humanity.
