Senator Kabiru Gaya of Kano South has stated that the New Nigeria People’s Party will not pose a danger to the success of All Progressive Congress candidates in Kano State’s upcoming general elections.
Gaya, the chairman of the Senate Committee on INEC, made the comment while answering reporters’ queries in Kano on Monday night.
He acknowledged that his main opponent in Kano South, Kawu Sumaila of the NNPP, is drawing a large audience, but Gaya expressed optimism about returning to the Senate for the fifth time.
Gaya claimed that if you work for the people, the people would undoubtedly vote for you, and that with the new electoral act, rigging elections in 2023 will be tough.
