The Nigerian Elections Debates Group (NEDG) is preparing a Presidential Debate on Economic Policy for November 15, 2022, in partnership with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group ( NESG).
In a joint statement issued by NESG Chairman Asue Ighodalo and NEDG Chairman John Ugbe, the organisations stated that this would serve as a springboard for talks on the route to a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
The statement said that Nigeria was at a pivotal juncture in its history, and that it was vital to encourage individuals to make educated voting decisions ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The debate is part of the NESG’s #IfNotNowWhen? Initiative, which aims to educate stakeholders and Nigerian people on peaceful, informed, and accountable political participation.
