Dr. Ahmed Sani Kaura, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State, has died.
Thisdaylive, reported that he died at a peace conference in Gusau. Abba Bello, the state PDP publicity secretary, said the chairman died immediately after attending a peace meeting organized by the Nigeria Council of Ulamah, Zamfara state chapter, yesterday (Wenesday, Nov 2nd).
He stated that the late chairman was invited to a meeting with other PDP stakeholders by the state Council of Ulamah to discuss ways to avoid political thuggery in the state.
“The chairman sagged as he delivered his speech. “He was rushed to a private hospital in Gusau, where doctors confirmed his death,” he said.
In a statement, Abdullahi Ahmad, the deceased’s son, said his father was a father and mentor who dedicated his life to serving humanity, and that he died at the age of 62, leaving behind six children (three males and three females).
Emir of Kaura Namoda, Alh Dr Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, Secretary of the PDP Ahmad Zangina, and Zamfara State Commissioner of Justice Junaidu Aminu were among those who attended the funeral prayer in Kaura Namoda.
