The curtains have officially closed on the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with individual brilliance recognized as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the tournament’s top award winners.
Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade was named Best Player of the Tournament, capping off a stellar campaign where her skill, leadership, and creativity proved crucial in the Super Falcons’ remarkable run to the title.
Her compatriot, Chiamaka Nnadozie, claimed the Best Goalkeeper Award, having delivered a string of outstanding performances between the posts.

The former Paris FC shot-stopper was instrumental in Nigeria’s defensive stability, pulling off decisive saves throughout the competition.
Moroccan forward Ghizlane Chebbak emerged as the tournament’s Top Scorer, netting five goals to lead the scoring chart. Despite Morocco’s second-place finish, Chebbak’s attacking prowess and consistency were a highlight for the Atlas Lionesses.
The Fair Play Award went to South Africa, recognized for their discipline and sportsmanship on and off the pitch.
The Banyana Banyana maintained composure and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
