- On July 25th, 2025, at approximately 9:51 AM, an ambulance was called in to report a cardiac arrest.
The victim was none other than wrestling legend Terry Gene Bollea, famously known as Hulk Hogan.
In the months leading up to his death, Hogan had been battling severe health complications.
In May 2025, he underwent a major surgical procedure a four-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion on his neck.
His wife, Sky, described the operation as an intense and complex procedure that required a long and layered healing process.
Hogan had been fighting for his life long before that fatal morning.
Despite public assurances from friends and close associates that Hogan was recovering well, the reality behind closed doors was far grimmer.
Radio host Bubba the Love Sponge, who claimed to have inside knowledge, reported that Hogan had been hospitalized with serious heart issues.
He even revealed that Hogan’s family had been summoned for what seemed like a final goodbye.
Following Bubba’s reports, Hogan’s representatives denied the claims, stating that the wrestling legend was doing fine.
However, on July 1st, Bubba again alleged that Hogan was suffering from possible brain damage due to prolonged breathing problems and had been placed on a ventilator an assertion his team also firmly denied.
By July 9th, sources claimed that Hogan had been in the ICU for weeks, in a confused and weakened state, unable to make public appearances.
His longtime manager, Sunny Hart, later disclosed that Hogan had suffered an adverse reaction to his cervical surgery, which led to the loss of his ability to speak.
In his final days, Hogan was under medical supervision and receiving care from a hospital bed at home.
Over the decades, he had undergone 25 surgeries, including 10 back operations, bilateral knee, and hip replacements a testament to the toll wrestling had taken on his body.
His last public appearance was on January 6th, 2025, at the WWE Monday Night Raw Netflix debut. Unfortunately, despite numerous medical efforts, Hulk Hogan was pronounced dead at 11:17 AM on July 25th, 2025, just hours after the emergency call was made.
The news of his passing sent shockwaves around the globe.
Former President Donald J. Trump and Donald Trump Jr. both sent heartfelt tributes to his wife, Sky, and his family.
Just weeks before his death, Hogan had been actively working on launching his own wrestling brand titled “Real American Freestyles” a dream that would now remain unfulfilled.
Though the official cause of death was cardiac arrest, it was evident that years of injury, surgeries, and declining health made it impossible for the wrestling icon to pull through.
Rest in peace, Hulk Hogan.
Your legacy will forever live on in the ring, and in the hearts of millions of fans around the world.
