The commissioner of police, CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, delivered checks totaling more than 46 million to the families of 21 fallen police personnel murdered while serving the command and Nigeria, the event was held at the Kebbi Police Command in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday,
Magaji stated that the cheques given to them are group life insurance and group personal accident cheques, and that when IGP Usman Baba Alkali came on board, he introduced several welfare packages to both serving and deceased police officers, with the intent of boosting officers’ morale and assuring them that the police will not abandon its own even in death, hence the reason for the occasion.
