An unidentified gunman has opened fire in a school in the western Russian city of Izhevsk, killing 13 and injuring 20. The deceased were four teachers, two security guards, and seven children.
Russian media have published videos that appear to depict scenes of panic inside the school. Footage also shows blood on the floor of the classroom, a bullet hole in the window, and children huddled beneath desks.
According to Russian authorities, the gunman who killed himself at the scene was wearing a balaclava and a black T-shirt with Nazi symbols.
Following the attack, according to TASS. Authorities are still working to identify the man they believe was responsible for the school shooting, as no documents were found on the suspect.
This attack happened on Monday, September 26, 2022, at School 88 in Izhevsk, the capital of the Russian region of Udmurtia. The premises has since been evacuated.
