Pop star Rihanna has announced the birth of her third child with partner A$AP Rocky. The baby girl, named Rocki Irish Mayers, was born on 13 September, the singer revealed in an Instagram post featuring a photo of her holding the newborn alongside a pair of tiny pink boxing gloves.
The child’s name closely reflects her father’s stage name, differing by just one letter. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are already parents to two sons, Riot and RZA.
The post quickly went viral, drawing more than 5 million likes within two hours and sparking celebrations across social media. Fans combined congratulations with renewed calls for new music, as the Barbados-born singer — whose real name is Robyn Fenty — has not released an album since Anti in 2016.
At 37, Rihanna is one of the world’s wealthiest entertainers, with Forbes estimating her net worth at over $1 billion, driven largely by her Fenty Beauty cosmetics brand and lingerie line.
She revealed her pregnancy in May at the Met Gala, stepping out in a custom outfit designed to showcase her baby bump. Rihanna has a history of high-profile announcements, having unveiled her second pregnancy during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime performance.
The couple has also been in the spotlight outside of music this year. In February, A$AP Rocky was acquitted in a trial over gun-related allegations, with Rihanna attending court alongside their two sons.
