Nigeria’s former Super Eagles captain and coach Sunday Oliseh has been appointed by worlds leading football body, FIFA, for a special assignment in the FIFA World Cup 2022™ in Qatar.
Despite the failure of the Nigerian Super Eagles to qualify for the biggest football event on earth, Sunday Oliseh will make Nigerians proud as representative and panelists for the Enhanced Football Intelligence Unit (EFI).
Sunday Oliseh took to his Instagram, to share on his arrival to Qatar, photos with German legend Jurgen Klinsmann, ex-Swiss international Pascal Zuberbuhler (Zubi), Zaccheroni, Cha and Mondragon, all members of the EFI panel led by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
The high performance technical team comprises football analysts, data scientists and data engineers, and has developed innovative technology to provide ground-breaking metrics and football intelligence to worldwide audience during the World Cup.
According to the governing body, using this data, FIFA will be able to conduct longitudinal post-match analysis to understand how the game is evolving over time as well as developmental analysis to better comprehend what it takes to progress from junior to senior level in both the men’s and women’s games.
