Belgium’s 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign came to an end on Wednesday with a goalless draw against Croatia.

Belgium needed to win the game to advance to the round of 16 knockout round.

Roberto Martinez’s team entered the tournament ranked second in the world by FIFA, but they have struggled in Group F thus far.

Kevin DeBruyne, a Belgium player, allegedly stated that the team was too old to win the event.

Croatia has secured a place in the knockout stage after finishing second in Group F with five points, one point ahead of Belgium.
