Sen Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, has committed to prioritizing education and empowering young people ahead of the 2023 general election.
On Sunday, October 9th in Kano, Kwankwaso made the announcement during the inauguration of the Kano state NNPP’s presidential and governorship campaign offices.
Kwankwaso told cheering fans that by 2023, youths would be smiling and back in school.
“Those of you who should be in primary school will return, while the best ones will attend international colleges,” he stated.
He stated that no country can achieve greatness unless its residents receive a quality education that allows them to contribute their fair share to the country’s progress. He vowed to provide appropriate resources for education.
Kwankwaso remarked that the large crowd that greeted him in Kano demonstrated that Nigerians were eager for new leadership.
The presidential candidate stated that the NNPP was ready to defeat Nigeria’s major political parties in the 2023 presidential election.
“This throng represents the need and desire for new leadership not only in the state but around the country.”
“The biggest surprise will be if our party, the NNPP, wins the presidential election in 2023, God willing,” he continued.
The former governor went on to say that the party had gained enough momentum to win elections in Kano and Nigeria, calling the NNPP as Africa’s fastest-growing political party.
He also warned party members not to make inflammatory or unguarded remarks.
The former Minister of Defence urged Nigerians not to make any more mistakes in electing politicians in the 2023 general election.
