Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has condemned the killing of Ifesinachi Onyekere, Managing Director of Fish Magnet Outlet, describing it as a senseless act of violence that must not be allowed to go unpunished.

Obi, who paid a condolence visit on Wednesday to the victim’s mother, Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi, in Awka, said the young entrepreneur was kidnapped and later killed by yet-to-be-identified assailants, who dumped his body in Amawbia, Anambra State.
He called on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
“Our society must not become a haven for lawlessness. We must all work together – government, community, and citizens – to build a safer, more secure Nigeria,” Obi said.
The former Anambra governor urged Nigerians to unite in condemning violent crimes and supporting efforts to end insecurity. He prayed for the repose of Onyekere’s soul and for God to grant his family the strength to bear the loss.
