Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike recently challenged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to prevent any member of the party from contesting elections.
Wike made the remark in response to Ayu’s recent remark in Gboko, Benue State, that he could have stopped the political ambitions of those seeking for his resignation.
Wike responded yesterday by challenging Ayu to prevent any party member from running in the 2023 elections.
Commenting on the party’s leadership issues, Wike stated that the culture of impunity and arrogance within the party remains a strong danger to the party’s chances in 2023 if not addressed promptly.
